Map
documents contain display properties of the geographic information
you work with a map such as the properties and definitions of
map layers, data frames, and the map layout for printing.
If you are using ESRI ArcGIS Desktop, click on a map (.MXD) to
open it in ArcMap. If you are using 9.2 Service Pack 4 or
earlier, right-click map and save to disk.
