GeoData

The GeoData section provides access to spatial data and images for Idaho and adjoining areas. These data sets have been compiled and organized by members of the INSIDE Idaho project team from the formidable amount of geospatial data developed by state and federal agencies, research organizations and individual researchers.

Numeric Data

The Numeric Data section provides demographic, economic, environmental, social, and climate data in a tabular format.  The demographic, economic, environmental, and social data are organized by chapters similar to those covered by the Statistical Abstract of the United States.  For most of the chapters, county is chosen as the geographic unit level. Comparisons of Idaho's neighboring states in the Northwest Region are included in all chapters. The cut-off date for inclusion of current data is 1990. Significant historical data, for the purpose of comparison, is included in certain tables.

Atlas

The Atlas section is designed for visually browsing selected data as 8-1/2 x 11 map-like color graphics. These Atlas maps are intended to serve the interests and needs of a diverse populace in many ways--as general references for information discovery, as instruments of teaching and education, and as aids in presentations and research.   The Atlas map images are sized to print out on 8-1/2 x 11 paper.  All the Atlas maps are displayed in Idaho Transverse Mercator (IDTM) projection and aim to portray the dominant features that each theme represents.
